The Roots: Lineage, Struggle, and Ceremony

My journey into natural alchemy was written into my blueprint from the beginning. Named after a fairy, I was born to an outdoorsman father with deep cultural roots. He taught me to read the landscape, respect the seasons, and listen to the quiet language of the land.

The path to AYEM was forged through fire. For years, I battled intense personal health and skin struggles. I navigated deep burnout while dealing with a sea of synthetic, chemical shortcuts that left my body starved.

Healing required a radical return to the source. My path eventually led me deep into ceremony spaces and ancestral plant medicine retreats. Sitting with the plants, I witnessed the profound, transformative power of the earth’s living elements. This journey radically rewired how I look at healing, energy, and the physical body.

When I returned to the studio, I brought that exact same reverence, intentionality, and respect for nature's intelligence straight into my formulations.

Based in Clear Spring, Maryland, AYEM is an independent studio run entirely by maker Crysta Goff. This is a living space for creation, curiosity, and connection.
