Community Care

At AYEM Works Studio, giving isn’t an afterthought. It’s at the heart of everything I do.

A portion of every sale, and 100% of all donations goes directly toward supporting people in our local community through simple, meaningful acts of care. Sometimes that looks like essential items. Sometimes it’s comfort. Sometimes it’s just letting someone feel remembered.

In February, our community care efforts focused on supporting residents at Coffman Nursing Home.

Handmade lotions and lip balms were prepared and delivered to help support residents with gentle, everyday skin care. Aging skin often becomes dry and sensitive, and these small comforts were intended to bring a bit of relief while also offering a thoughtful reminder that someone is thinking of them.

Items donated included:

  • Handmade lip balm

  • Lotion

Community care projects at AYEM Works are intentionally small and personal, focusing on consistent acts of kindness within the local community.

In January, our community care efforts focused on supporting individuals at Hope Center.

Through donations, personal contributions, and hands-on preparation, I assembled and delivered 25 Comfort Kits designed to offer warmth, dignity, and a small sense of ease during a difficult season.

Each Comfort Kit included a mix of essentials and care items, such as:

  • Handmade lip balm made in small batches

  • Lotion and skin-care basics

  • Hygiene items and wipes

  • Puzzles and activity books

  • Notebooks and pens

  • Small items chosen simply to bring comfort

Every kit was assembled by hand, with intention, and delivered directly.

This Month’s Community Care Focus…

Planning is currently underway for the next community care effort. Conversations with local organizations are ongoing to determine where support may be most helpful this month. Updates will be shared as soon as it takes shape.

In the meantime, clothing donations are being gathered for a local community closet, helping ensure that everyday essentials remain accessible to individuals and families and need.
