How to Get the Most Out of Your Skincare (Because It’s Not Just the Products)

Let’s be real for a second…

No product is going to magically fix your skin overnight.

If your skincare “isn’t working,” it’s usually not just the product. It’s how you’re using it, what’s going on underneath, and what your expectations are.

Healthy skin is built over time. Not bought instantly.

Your Skin Barrier Comes First

If your skin is irritated, dry, breaking out, or reacting to everything… your skin barrier is likely compromised.

That’s the foundation.

If your barrier isn’t healthy, nothing else is going to work the way it should.

This is exactly what my products are designed to support. Simple, intentional ingredients that help protect, restore, and work with your skin instead of against it.

You Can’t Out-Skincare Your Lifestyle

I’m just going to say it.

You cannot out-moisturize dehydration.

You cannot out-serum a poor diet.

You cannot out-cream chronic stress.

Your skin reflects what’s happening inside your body.

Hydrate.

Eat real food.

Give your body a chance to decompress.

That matters just as much as anything you put on your skin.

My Experience (and Why I Care About This)

My skin used to be so bad I wouldn’t leave the house without makeup.

So I made a decision… to stop wearing it for a while and see if I could actually improve it. This was hard for me at first because I felt naked without makeup.

I started out with 7 days to see what would happen.

Then 7 turned into 14… then 30…

Now? I don’t wear foundation or concealer at all.

Not because I don’t care about how I look… but because I finally gave my skin the space to actually heal.

And that’s when everything changed. I started embracing natural beauty, and now it's my mission to help other women do the same. Makeup is beautiful, don't get me wrong. But I want to help enhance women's natural beauty rather than cover up insecurities.

How to Use My Products So They Actually Work

More product does NOT mean better results.

It’s about using the right amount, in the right way, for your skin.

🌿 Earth & Hide Bare Skin Buttercream

This is a rich, tallow-based balm. A little goes a long way.

Dry skin: You can absolutely use this on your face.

Use a small amount, warm it in your hands, and apply as needed.

Best at night or when your skin needs extra support.

Oily or acne-prone skin: Use this more as a spot treatment instead of all over your face daily.

This is amazing for:

  • razor burn

  • chafing

  • rashes

  • bug bites

  • cuts or irritated skin

It works by mimicking your skin’s natural oils and helping repair the barrier while locking in moisture so your skin can actually heal.

🌸 Flower & Flesh Botanical Cream

This is your everyday moisturizer.

Lightweight, but still deeply nourishing.

Great for most skin types.

Use morning and night on clean skin to keep everything balanced.

Briar’s Bloom Glow Oil

This one is for glow and support.

Use a few drops max.

I personally use this on breakouts, and it works really well for me.

The oils in it like grapeseed, rosehip, and calendula help calm inflammation and support healing.

But everyone’s skin is different, so start small and see how your skin responds.

It’s also great for:

  • scars

  • dark spots

  • uneven tone and texture

Not overnight… but over time, it supports your skin so it can heal and even out naturally.

💧 Morning Dew Hydration Mist

This is your hydration step.

Use it before applying oils or creams if you want an extra boost, or throughout the day to refresh your skin.

Since not all water is created equal, this gives you a clean, intentional way to hydrate your skin.

Day vs Night Matters

At night, your skin is in repair mode.

That’s when I lean into heavier, more nourishing products.

During the day, I keep things lighter so my skin can breathe and stay balanced.

Simple, but it makes a difference.

Let’s Talk About Expectations

I don’t believe in miracle products.

I don’t believe in “this will fix everything.”

And I will never sell you that idea.

These products are here to support your skin, not override it.

You still have to:

  • take care of your body

  • manage stress

  • stay consistent

That’s where real results come from.

The Goal

The goal isn’t perfect skin.

The goal is healthy skin that feels good to live in.

Skin that doesn’t need to be covered up.

Skin that reflects how you actually feel.

Let’s Talk About “Perfect” Skin

Somewhere along the way, we were taught that good skin means:

  • no texture

  • no pores

  • no blemishes

  • no hair

That’s not real.

Skin has texture.

Skin has pores.

Skin has life.

Even in the photo above, my skin is healthy and even… but it still has texture, fine hair, and the occasional breakout.

That doesn’t mean something is wrong.

That means it’s real.

A lot of frustration with skincare comes from unrealistic expectations.

You’re not trying to erase your skin.

You’re trying to support it.

If You’re Not Sure Where to Start

Reach out to me. I'm more than happy to answer any questions you have, and I’d much rather help you figure out what works for your skin than have you guessing. I would never want to waste your time and money.

This is about working with your skin, not against it.
